Inside and out

A local Hampshire company since 2002
Ryan Caws set up CAWS Carpentry & Building in 2002, and since then we have built a loyal client base across Hampshire. Many previous clients are happy to talk to you about their own project, whether it was a single room or a complete overhaul. We are accredited by the Federation of Master Builders and are members of Checkatrade, and as a local company our reputation matters to us.
Quotes are free and come with no obligation. You can see examples of earlier work in our gallery.
Choosing the right timber
Each piece of carpentry needs a timber that suits where it goes and how hard it will be used.
- Oak for staircases and flooring
- Softwood for framing and studwork
- Treated timber for outdoor work
- Cedar for cladding and screens
- Board materials for fitted furniture
- Hardwood for doors and frames
We talk you through the options for each job, so the finished work lasts and looks right in your home.
